Police Officer Joe Gamaldi was born and raised on Long Island, NY and graduated from Mercy High School. Following high school he attended the University of Hartford, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice, with minors in Political Science and Sociology. After graduation, Officer Gamaldi was hired by the NYPD where he worked as an officer for 3 years. He then transferred to the Houston Police Department and graduated from Class #197. Shortly after graduation from the academy, he completed his Masters Degree from Long Island University in Homeland Security Management, and married his wonderful wife Alexa. Officer Gamaldi is currently assigned to night shift patrol at North Station. Officer Gamaldi is the chair of the Education Committee and the Ways and Means committee. He also coordinates the Taxi Cab program and the Houston Officers Peer Assistance.
