Joey was born and raised in Houston. He grew up around the department, his father having served with HPD for 38 years, retiring in 2015. Joey graduated from Texas A&M University and worked for a few years in Houston before deciding that an office job was not for him and joined the “family business” in 2015. Honor graduate of class #223, he has spent all of his career so far at Central Patrol. Outside of work he is working on his master’s degree in Homeland Security and likes to travel when possible. He is a member and involved at Second Baptist Church. Joey was appointed to the board by Joe Gamaldi in 2019.
