Minutes for the April 7 Membership Meeting

OPENING

Doulas Griffith called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Bishop Cory Wilson lead the prayer.

 

DEDICATION

Greg Green read the meeting dedication for Officer James Irving. His killer will be sentenced to death after 32 years on April 21 at 6pm.

TREASURER’S REPORT

The motion to accept the treasury report was made by Ricky Brausell, second by Jose Pelayo, motion carried.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

Contract was unanimously passed by City Council. All pay raise increases will take place first full pay period after July 1.

ATO Gayla was a huge success, if you did not attend you missed out. Thank you to Gabriella Gregory, Lisa Marino, and Tim Whitaker for putting on a great event.

City plans to address crime and overtime concerns with overloading patrol with overtime program.

Scholarship breakfast is April 23, thank you to Rhonda Williams.

HPOU is continuing to provide COVID testing, no one is being disciplined for not testing.

May 6 will be the Houston Police Memorial event unless it is raining and then it will be held at First Baptist.

Social media helps spread the word, continue to share HPOU posts.

BARC campaign is still available, contact Dan Levine if you want to take pictures with the animals.

BBQ Benefit for Officer Pavlov is tomorrow, April 8th, please come out and support this family.
