Minutes for the March 4 Membership Meeting

OPENING

Doulas Griffith called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Bishop Cory Wilson lead the prayer.

 

DEDICATION 

Ken Nealy read the meeting dedication for Fred Maddox Jr. end of watch February 24, 1954.

TREASURER’S REPORT

The motion to accept the treasury report was made by Ken Nealy, second by Will Reiser, motion carried.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

Congratulations to Lt. Pleasant for making top 50 Influential Houston Women, only police officer to nominated.

Contract was voted in by the members 62% in favor, 32% against. Contract changes, rumors, and facts discussed.

City has plan to address crime in overtime program, the city is paying so they can force you to work overtime.

There have been 19 shootings so far this year, if you see someone in need direct them to Peer Support at 832-200-3499.

Scholarship deadline is Friday, March 4th at 4pm.

HPOU is continuing to provide COVID testing, no one is being disciplined for not testing.

Judge Glass and Judge Bynum did not make it out of the primary races with you all’s help in getting the word spread and getting them out of office.

100 seats left for ATO Gayla on March 26th, consider going very good event.

BARC campaign is still available, contact Dan Levine if you want to take pictures with the animals.

BBQ Benefit for Officer Pavlov will be April 8th, please come out and support this family.
