Texas Peace Officer Stress Survey

Dear Fellow Texas Peace Officers,

I am a graduate student under the direction of Professor Blackburn in the College of Public Service, Criminal Justice Division at the University of Houston-Downtown. I am asking for your help in researching the various causes of stress within the law enforcement community of Texas.

I am using the various police unions of Texas to assist me in reaching as many law enforcement members as possible. Even though the results of this survey will be published at no time will any information that will be able to identify you will be released. I am asking for no more than 30 minutes of your time to complete this survey. At any time you can quit the survey. Since there is no way for anybody including myself or your respective union to identify you there is no penalty for quitting the survey.

The goal of the survey and this research is to help law enforcement officers not only in Texas but elsewhere in recognizing and getting better help in dealing with one of the toughest jobs. I would like to thank you in advance for helping me by completing this survey. By clicking below you are voluntarily consenting to taking this survey.

Thank You,

Thomas Wethington
